Students for Carbon Dividends letter

The Students for Carbon Dividends group has gathered over 350 endorsements for a carbon fee and dividend from student body presidents across the country. This is a huge step forward on outreach in our state. Signers from Utah include:

  • Robert Borden, BYU

  • Taylor Bell, UVU

  • Bret Alexander, Weber State

  • Benjamin Ferney, Weber State

  • Obaid Barakzai, Westminster College

You can read the statement and see all the signers here. In addition, Rob Borden wrote an op-ed supporting the statement together with the student body presidents of Louisiana State and Mississippi State. This would be great to pass along to our members of Congress and our representatives in the Utah Legislature.
